Tall Tails: Ways That Lil Is Just Like Her Mommy

For those of you with pets, particularly those who share them with your significant other, how often do you attribute their traits to the fact that they were inherited from one of you? Like, "Lil's so judgy! She totally gets that from you." Well we do that a lot. And I've found that many of the reasons I want to return her I get frustrated with her are things that Tom often tells me I do.

I can make no other conclusion than to say, Lil has learned a lot of how to handle her life from me. Thing is, that's not always a good thing.

1. dresses to impress
the prettiest ballerina
2. high maintenance
"duh I should have more treats and toys, I'm a princess, duhhh"
3. always ready to eat
"kung pow chicken anyone?
4. lush
"oops the bottle's gone? how did that happen?"
5. whiny
"guyssssss just let me outtttttt"
6. know-it-all
"mom I know how to get there! lay off!"
7. impatient
"throw the kong. just do it. come on. do it. hurry up."
8. dramatic
"ahhh the pain is almost too much to bear. I just don't think I can go on"
9. judgy
"mom are you seriously gonna wear that out? you look like a hobo."
10. freakin adorable
see? samsies.
Poor Tom. He has to deal with both of us. Really tho, I'm pretty sure the other half of the craziness that is Lil comes from him.

    I love it. My dog and I are both really lazy. We prefer to sleep over a lot of things. And eat. This is too true.

    Cute!! The last picture is my favorite. I just found your blog and I love it. I just got my little baby (puppy) a little over a month ago and I cannot believe how obsessed and in love I am with him! I tell my boyfriend that he is our child that just came out a little too hairy :)

    Last photo is presh! We definitely categorize traits from each of us in the dogs. They get their intelligence from me, and toxic gas from the hubs, natch.

    I LOVE this post and your blog! First of all, the blog name is just awesome and the absolute truth. I always tell people that based on my closet, my favorite color to wear is dog hair! And I agree, with my boyfriend we always talk about traits our pup, Mila inherited from us! lol its hilarious and awesome to meet other crazy dog moms :)
