If you want to only read posts about Lil aka the absolute sketchiest dog ever, go there. Now, instead of calling the page "Stories About Lily" or "My Dog Is An Ass" I went with #lilproblems. If you follow me on instagrammy or twatter you've probably noticed that I've used that hashtag when posting about Lil. I'm here today to tell you how that all came about.

I've mentioned a few times that before I was a cursing, ranting, crazy dog lady on this blog, I was a stuggling fashion blogger. It was a bad life choice. BUT I did try to do it right and so I made an instagram and twitter. I got into instagram right away but twitter I just coudn't get the hang of.

Now, only about 2 people I know IRL use twitter and I had literally 0 bloggy friends so it wasn't exactly a conversation. I was telling Tom about it and tried convincing him to get a twitter. He said something along the lines of "absolutely fucking not."

After a few more conversations about it, Tom decided that if he was going to make a twitter it would be on behalf of Lil. If you guys have been reading for more the the last 8 lines, y'all know that Lil is shit balls cray. And has a unlimited life pass on the struggles bus. You guys know all those hashtags- #bloggerproblems, #winoproblems, #shortproblems (at least those are the ones I use..) Honestly I loved the idea of her having a twitter run by Tom but it never turned into anything more than just adding #lilproblems to my posts.

The premise of Lil's twitter would be tweeting about her oh-so-tough life as our pup. For example, tweets would include:

I just wanna lick dad's face off and he won't let me. Jerk. #lilproblems

I thought it was so funny and Tom likes making me laugh and we both like putting words in Lil's mouth (as opposed to anything else she likes putting in there) and so the hashtag stuck. And that's that.

Super excited and honored to say that Chloe, Steph, Heather AND Rachel all nominated me for a Liebster Award!! I was nominated a few weeks ago and wrote this post. These girls came up with some fantastic questions tho and I love sharing things to have y'all get to know me better so here we are again! Chloe's questions:

1. How do you feel about rock paper scissors?

I hate people who call it roshambo. THAT IS NOT WHAT IT'S CALLED. Also I'm dirty at it. I won prizes by beating a guy from our building (I explain more here) and I'll let you in on this- always start with sissors.

2. Who are some of your daily reads?

Sara, Candice, Sarah, Erin, Alyssa, Erin, Steph, Kate, Courtney, Brooke gahh there are a lot of them.That's only some of them! I keep a short list on my side bar!

3. What would you tell a new blogger about blogging?

Make connections!! Comment, comment, comment! Follow bloggers on every social media you have. Create accounts for ones you don't have and be active!

4. Do you have any tattoos? Do you want any?

Two: 3 stars on the back of my neck that have symbollogy (Boondock Saints anyone?) I swear, but basically it's for my family, friends and lovaaa. The people in my life are incredibly important to me. I also have a TINY crown behind my right ear because I firmly believe I am a princess.

1. What is your drink of choice?

Anything with St. Germain in it. Really it's amazing. Gin and tonic with St. Germain and a lime? THAT'S MY JAM. Prosecco and St. Germain? Protentious as fuck and I love it.

Also Godiva Liquor in the winter. Definitely go thru a TON of that.

2. What blogger makes you laugh every single day?

I'd have to say there are a few but Alyssa wins for this post that I just read. I think Alyssa and I were seperated at birth. We're samsies like all the time. Plus she's fucking hilarious and mostly because she doesn't try to be but totally is. Also 99.9% of the time I'm reading and smiling so big/snorting back laughter in my cubicle that it's making people think I need an intervention.

3. You're stranded on Gilligan's Island, what 3 people would you want with you?

Tom, my best friend HP and Lil. I know Lil isn't a person but she would protect us. Plus I don't think I could spend every day with any other human besides those two. Also Tom and HP are the funniest people I know and I would never be bored. Ever.

4. Star Wars, Star Trek or Star Magazine?

Star Wars ALWAYSSSSS I fucking love that franchise. I mean I'm mostly into the orig 3 movies- specifically the non CGI versions. I could watch Episodes IV, V, and VI everyday of my life. I got the blueray box set from Tom as an anniversary gift.

Heather's questions:

1. Do you believe in love at first sight?

Kinda. I believe in love at first meeting. I actually had an experience with something that got as close to love at first sight as I can think of which went: "He's hot. I'm gonna meet him and then we're gonna date." And that's what happened but it didn't work out. I think that the love at first meeting thing goes for friends and significant others. At least for me, connections form quickly and lasting ones run deep. Sight can be deciving. Lucky for me all my friends are good looking and Tom's a stud muffin.

2. What are 3 things you coudn't live without?

Music, sweatpants, Snickers Bars

3. What is your dream job?

Blogging would be great actually. But maintaing this blog. Not doing what other people tell me. I would love to be some kind of animal biologist but like host my own show. Like Jeff Corwin. Dude is nuts but he has a great time.

4. What is the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?

Cry/pee my pants/dance. Then I would take everybody I love out to celebrate. BIG ASS PARTY. Then I would take L shoe shopping and we'd spend 24 hours trying on and buying shoes. Then I'd buy a house. And then a tiny version of my house so Lil could have her own house but she would live with us in the big house anyway. Then I would take a vaca with Tom to somewhere incredible and then he would tell me to stop spending and save the rest of the money.

Rachel's questions:

1. What is your favorite band/musician?

I'm going to see Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox 20 and I love both of them. I obv love all the 90's favs and lately Kelly Clarkson and Demi Lavoto have really got me pumped!

PLAYin' BALL

WOOO I HAVE A POST TO LINK UP WITH SARAH FOR FAN FRIDAY!

I have a thing for baseball players. Every single boy I've dated played baseball. EVERY SINGLE GUY I HAD A CRUSH ON PLAYED BASEBALL. Not joking.
(Except for my most recent ex. He played hockey. It was a bad life choice.)

Tom played baseball from the time he could waddle to first base up until he graduated high school. He decided he didn't wanna play in college but he definitely could have. He was pretty fucking good at it. It runs in the family. His dad was dirty, his grandfather was incredible. Uncles, cousins- basically anyone in the family who happened to be a dude played ball for some extended period of time.

Unfortunatly for me, he hasn't hasn't played since we've met. We did play a season of co-ed softball with the team from our company but that was just absolutely ridiculous. (Let's put it this way, I was one of the better people on the team) I still loved watching him play. A guy making a double play and throwing the ball to first while in the air is probably the hottest thing in the entire world.

OK back to the present! Tom and I went with a friend to a restaurant by our apartment on Monday. We were there for about a second when Tom's cousin shows up out of nowhere and comes over and sits down to hang out with us for a bit. He mentions he's coaching/managing a twilight team. (Twilight is a league for people who are too old to play in other organized leagues. It's usually kids out of college up to their late 20's) Tom does the "Oh yea man, that sounds great." in a voice that suggests he's mildly into the idea. Meanwhile I'm literally dancing in my seat and smiling so big it hurts.

Yesterday was his first game. There are no organized practices or anything and Tom hadn't played since college but he was SUCH A STUD. I mean I guess I'm biased but he really was great. First of all he looks hot as shit in his baseball pants (I'm convinced God designed baseball pants) and since he's a genuiniely talented player he looked awesome catching a fly ball hit to right field and getting a really nice hit and making a run. NBD.

Also Lil came to help cheer on Dad and she was pretty confused/distrought about the fact that she couldn't catch the ball every time it was hit or thrown. She also HATES rain and this was the longest she had been out in it. She cried a bunch. Poor Ting.

When we got home and warmed up (and showered) we went to eat. When we got home and checked the mail, I saw that my GroopDealz package came! You know those flower statement necklaces that so many people have and it's usually like a coral or red color? WELP I got a white one and it looks stupid on me. Upside? It looks great on Lil.

Unfortunately, Tom's team lost but it doesn't really matter too much to me since I win whenever Tom puts on the uniform. And because there isn't a song called "In Those Baseball Pants" Ginuwine's "In Those Jeans" will do to link up with Whitney

Summer Essentials From SASA

So after being at the beach for a bachelorette weekend, I relized I really gotta restock my summer shizzz. I mean I have some of the essentials but luckily I have my favy blogger and summer fun expert SARA to help guide me. And I coudn't keep it all to myself! SO here are the summer essentials.

(also I have now made a shopping list and will be purchasing everything I don't own that is on this list.)

Today, I've crafted the ultimate summer 2013 essentials list for y'all! We moved to Houston about a year ago, and now we have summer weather nine months of the year...but when I lived in the Midwest for the first 25 years of life, damn did I appreciate these summer months.

So after scouring the internet, I've come up with a definitive list of things you like, need to have to enjoy your summer!

Step One :: You need something to wear to the beach, pool, lake, or on the boat. I know, I know, it's so hot out, and why can't we all just wear sheets wrapped around us and pass out drinking wine? Because this is America, and here we wear party tanks, cover-ups and $200 swimsuits.

Step Two :: You'll want to accessorize. So choose how fancy you are from the grid below. Going to a semi-classy party? Get those leather sandals, Kate Spade bag and Panama hat out! Going to get wasted right meow and start barking at strangers? Flip flops, durable Land's End tote, and whichever hat covers your shame the best!

Step Three :: Bring something to lay on/dry off with. No one likes having to give away one of their "good bath towels" because you couldn't bring one of these super adorable and affordable towels!

Step Four :: This might very well be your most important step, drinking needs!

1. A Vino2Go so you can drink by the pool all day and keep your wine chilled, safe from bugs, and look pretty damn classy while doing it. Bonus: Pool/beach friendly because it's not glass.

Tip off: We miiight be brewing up a giveaway for one of these bad boys!

2. A koozie. Any koozie will do, but the more outrageous, the better. I mostly use this one from my bachelorette party:

4. Another drinking tank from Skreened

In addition to your drinking supplies, you'll obviously need some great summer drinking games, so in case you're fresh out of those, most perf Adriana wrote a guest post for me recently on the best summer drinking games out there!

You can find her games, complete with full instructions HERE. We should basically make those into a card you could keep in your purse, like the safety instructions on a plane.

To summarize:

You unfortunately need to cover up a little even though it's hot. Good news is you can look hawt doing so.

You also need some ridiculous accessories. Like big hats & sparkly sandals. And totes to carry your 8 pairs of sunglasses, extra koozies, and

You definitely need a beach towel. No one wants to lay on cement or sand. And there are so many cute ones. I basically want them all.

And finally, if you want to have an actually fun summer, you should probably get your booze life together. So get a cooler, a means to insulate your favorite drink, and naturally, a drinking tank to show your spirit for the season!
