SPD: Glitzy Ring Holder

WOO second week in a row with Saw It, Pinned It, Did It!

SUPER CRAFTY UP IN HEAAAA (sorry about that..)

I’m sharing my sparkly, bejewewled, glittery, purply, pink framed ring holder!

I pinned this a while ago and thought it was ADORABLE. Then saw it on Meg’s post about manicures and was like I realllly want to do that. So now here we are!

Disclaimer: I am NOT engaged. I have a ring I wear always and THAT (until further notice) will be the only ring on this holder.

So here we go!

Step 1. Gather materials

I got everything from Michaels. The tiny frame, glitter paint writer, pins and gems. I had the ribbon at home.

Step 2. Start adding sparkles!

I didn’t plan any of it out because I’m lazy and easily frustrated fun and spontaneous. Which is also the reason I got the gems with sticky backs so I didn't have to glue them on. Then I randomly added the glitter glue.

Step 3. "Measure" the ribbon and cut it so it fits in the frame

I suggest waiting for the glitter glue to dry. I also suggest using ribbon just wide enough to fit in and cover the whole opening. Mark it and cut the ribbon

Step 4. Add the pin

Poke your pin through the the frame opening. (The frame I got had thin plastic instead of glass so I just poked it through the plastic and the ribbon) Then once the frame is closed and secured, bend the pin so that it sticks out from the frame.

Step 5. Hang your bling!

YAYY it looks so cute! Tom was impressed. THANKS TOM. I’m prob gonna make one for the kitchen sink too.

And here it is in its new home! (With my last SPD project)

Saw It, Pinned It, Did It: Makeup Brush Holder DIY

Before I get to SPD, I wanna mention I'm guest posting at Sheree's blog, The Hartungs! Go check it out!

This is my first Saw It, Pinned It, Did It link up and I’m sooo excited! I’ve had a LOT of projects pinned that I’ve been meaning to do and this is my perfect excuse!

Today’s project is one I’m sure everyyyyyone has seen. There are tons of variations of it.

So I went to Michaels and the dollar store and picked up this shit

You just hot glue the vase/cup/thing to the candle stick and add the stones!
(also don’t use superglue, it didn’t stay. That may have been the steam from showers but still)

1. gather materials

2. hot glue the top of the candle stick

3. place the cup/vase on the candle stick and press down

4. pour you stones (or any other filler you chose) into the cup

And voilĂ !

**SIDE RANT: people who say “wa la!” or something similar make me really mad. It’s voilĂ . It’s ok if you don’t use the accent mark but for fuck sake it’s a word not onomonopia. Rant over.**

Here’s the finished product!

And here it is in its natural habitat!

Yay! So cute right? I know it doesn't match but I liked the beads and whatever. It's my bathroom.

So easy tho! (and cheap! It cost like $7 not including the gluFollow me on Pinterest

Fitness Motivators

Best motivators for working out in no particular order:

·  Vacation/trip
·  Beach season in general
·  Your wedding
·  Someone elses wedding
·  Bachelorette party
·  Birthday party
·  Gym membership is on sale
·  Seeing your ex
·  Seeing your significant other’s ex
·  You’re favorite clothing item is too tight
·  Summer time is too hot for spanx
·  You feel you may need a triple bypass soon
·  The Chinese food place across the street knows you by the sound of your voice/order
·  Your dog is over active and needs exercise
·  Your best friend just lost weight by doing nothing because she sucks
·  You have bloggy friends that are SUPER supportive of this kind of stuff
·  You need your legs in skirt and heels shape

I fit almosttt all of those. So I’ve upped my running from 3 miles one day a week to a couple miles a day. Plus I should do sit ups or something.

I would join a gym but I already belong to one. Next to my parent’s house. It’s not far but far enough to be inconvenient. And I need this to be as easy on me as possible. I’ve belonged to that gym for probably 3 years. I went for about 6 months. Yea I’m still paying for it. Why? Because I’m an idiot/lazy piece of shit and can’t get my ass to the post office to send a certified letter of cancellation. Anyway that’s kind of dick of them to make me do anyway.

So today’s pins are ones I want to try out/use to get my butt into much better shape

So we'll see how this goes! I'm also definitely gonna be more aware of what I'm putting IN my body. Aka drinking a ton of water and not eating shit all the time. And also maybe try not to eat as much as a professional line backer would.

Bridesmaid Planning Pins

This past weekend as you all know, I went to New York with Tom and his parents and we visited with L and J. As you may also know, L and J are getting MARRIED!! In just 2 months!!! (so. fucking. pupmpeddd.) Tom and I are in the wedding party so of course there was some wedding talk while we visited and did other fun NY tings.

I decided to share all the pins that I'm using for getting ready for the wedding!

Also, I'm convinced a man invented pinterest so his girlfriend could find more dinner recipes and then we all started pinning Chanel bags and engagement rings and nursery plans and they were like fuckkkkkk. Whatev suckers.

Now I have all my accessories, hair, make up, and obv, dress planned! I didn't share the dress but it's gorgeous and amazing and as I've mentioned, it has pockets.

Packing Pinterest- Style

It's Wednesday. THANK CHRIST.

I serrrrriously need a vacation (wooo happening this weekend!) I get super cranky at around 3:30 everyday at work and then my mind wanders to bigger, better things. For example:
-had a hypothetical bitch fest at kids I hate from high school
-planned my sister's 21st birthday
-thought about how my hair would look straight (haven't straighten it since I got it cut)
-what my bridesmaid dress was gonna look like
-L & J's wedding
-what I'm packing for the weekend
-shwarma and macaroons that I'll be eating this weekend

Really tho, I'm all over the place after 3:30. Usually that means pinterest time y'alllllllll! I decided to focus on packing. And since Tom FREAKS OUT if he thinks I'm over packing I looked up some packing magic.

If you guys have weekend trips coming up, I'm gonna tell you guys what I think should be packed in a weekend bag in tomorrows post!

Failing Pinterestingly

Well this is my first Oh, How Pinteresting link up but I’m pretty bummed that this was the pin I chose. Here’s why:

1.       Everyone’s results always come out pretty close to what the pin was
2.       When people do recipes, it’s always amazingggg
3.       I didn’t even make mine the right way
4.       It did NOT taste like it was supposed to
5.    I can't figure out how to embed the damn pin (maybe I fixed it now?)

I pinned this a while back

And somehow we ended up with a package of greek yogurt in our fridge. Weird because Tom didn’t buy it and I didn’t buy it. Either Lil is all of a sudden a big fan of probiotics and has some cash to burn or it’s a miracle. Before it went bad and the miracle was wasted I wanted to try this out.

I was on the phone with my girlfriend and she was saying she loved greek yogurt so I’m like ok great. So, without looking up the recipe, I started putting the ingredients together. No measurements or anything of course. And I had mini M&Ms instead of mini chocochips.

WELP, this is how it came out.

I know not very appetizing right? Nothing like the pin. Turns out I forgot the vanilla extract (we don’t have that shit in the apartment, because there is noooo need for vanilla extract in anything else) Also we don’t have sugar in the apartment so I had a sugar substitute packet from the complimentary coffee station in our lobby (yea our apartment is fancy) that I snagged when we had guests staying with us and I wasn’t about to go downstairs to get more. Also I just kept adding peanut butter.

Wanna know what it tasted like? Yogurt and peanut butter. With tiny M&Ms. #dissapointing. I tried to get Tom to taste it but he was NOT having it.
